Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Household, Chemicals and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 5.26% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.1000 at the close. Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr) added 4.86% or 0.34 points to end at 7.34 and European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr) was up 3.15% or 0.110 points to 3.600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Hellenic Exchanges Athens Stock Exchange SA (AT:EXCr), which lost 3.19% or 0.15 points to trade at 4.55 in late trade. Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) declined 2.20% or 0.050 points to end at 2.220 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) shed 1.79% or 0.15 points to 8.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 40 to 40 and 16 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.46% or 5.60 to $1217.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.43% or 0.98 to hit $69.47 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.04% or 0.76 to trade at $73.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1540, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8918.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.29.
