Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Food, Construction and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.14% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr), which rose 4.39% or 0.150 points to trade at 3.570 at the close. Karatzi (AT:KRTr) added 3.82% or 0.250 points to end at 6.800 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was up 3.26% or 0.070 points to 2.220 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Reds (AT:CAMr), which lost 9.34% or 0.085 points to trade at 0.825 in late trade. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 3.43% or 0.026 points to end at 0.732 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) shed 2.10% or 0.060 points to 2.800.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 55 to 45 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 0.70 to $1203.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.65% or 0.44 to hit $67.33 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.35% or 0.27 to trade at $76.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.1578, while EUR/GBP fell 0.55% to 0.8940.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.25.
