Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Resources and Household sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr), which rose 6.79% or 1.8000 points to trade at 28.3000 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 4.35% or 0.007 points to end at 0.168 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 3.11% or 0.010 points to 0.332 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 9.57% or 0.027 points to trade at 0.255 in late trade. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 3.23% or 0.029 points to end at 0.870 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) shed 3.02% or 0.026 points to 0.834.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 62 to 32 and 20 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.95% or 12.16 to $1291.46 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.65% or 0.32 to hit $49.24 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.28% or 0.15 to trade at $52.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1754, while EUR/GBP rose 0.12% to 0.9053.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.39.
