Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr), which rose 2.98% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.79 at the close. Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) added 2.59% or 0.04 points to end at 1.62 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was up 1.93% or 0.23 points to 12.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BriQ Properties REIC (AT:BRIQr), which lost 2.30% or 0.05 points to trade at 2.12 in late trade. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 2.12% or 0.22 points to end at 10.16 and Intralot (AT:INLr) shed 1.90% or 0.02 points to 1.03.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 62 to 55 and 19 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.65% or 17.19 to $2,614.71 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.92% or 0.65 to hit $71.25 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.70% or 0.52 to trade at $74.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.49% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 108.16.
