Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Construction, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr), which rose 3.76% or 0.0500 points to trade at 1.4000 at the close. Public Power (AT:DEHr) added 3.55% or 0.05 points to end at 1.46 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA) was up 2.58% or 0.035 points to 1.390 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which lost 4.70% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.079 in late trade. Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr) declined 4.12% or 0.007 points to end at 0.163 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) shed 3.17% or 0.040 points to 1.220.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 55 to 49 and 11 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.35% or 4.20 to $1192.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.90% or 0.66 to hit $73.91 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.14% or 0.94 to trade at $83.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.1583, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8877.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 94.89.
