Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Jumbo SA (AT:BABr), which rose 2.90% or 0.420 points to trade at 14.920 at the close. Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr) added 2.41% or 0.230 points to end at 9.780 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was up 2.24% or 0.250 points to 11.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA), which lost 9.52% or 0.160 points to trade at 1.520 in late trade. Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) declined 7.63% or 0.045 points to end at 0.545 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) shed 4.78% or 0.165 points to 3.285.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 67 to 48 and 11 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.61% or 8.10 to $1327.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.75% or 0.47 to hit $62.13 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.70% or 0.46 to trade at $65.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.2400, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8927.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 89.65.
