Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 2.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 10.59% or 0.0180 points to trade at 0.1880 at the close. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) added 8.37% or 0.022 points to end at 0.285 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 7.37% or 0.3500 points to 5.1000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 4.00% or 0.025 points to trade at 0.600 in late trade. Hellenic Telec (AT:OTEr) declined 1.26% or 0.13 points to end at 10.20 and Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr) shed 1.20% or 0.15 points to 12.35.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 31 and 11 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.58% or 7.38 to $1270.32 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $54.17 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.13% or 0.08 to trade at $60.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1646, while EUR/GBP fell 0.51% to 0.8776.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 94.47.
