Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Banking and Household sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 1.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr), which rose 7.14% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.500 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 6.30% or 0.0080 points to end at 0.1350 and Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) was up 5.81% or 0.005 points to 0.091 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which lost 6.04% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.140 in late trade. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 3.70% or 0.010 points to end at 0.260 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) shed 2.85% or 0.67 points to 22.89.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 71 to 33 and 10 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.58% or 7.38 to $1282.68 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.62% or 0.35 to hit $56.77 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.29% or 0.18 to trade at $62.40 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1732, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8867.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 93.92.
