Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Household, Travel and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.81% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which rose 18.00% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.029 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 5.49% or 0.010 points to end at 0.192 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was up 4.89% or 0.054 points to 1.158 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 4.76% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.600 in late trade. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 3.07% or 0.035 points to end at 1.105 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) shed 2.52% or 0.040 points to 1.550.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 29 and 8 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.60% or 7.60 to $1278.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.46% or 0.27 to hit $58.09 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.15 to trade at $64.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.35% to 1.1833, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8855.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 93.04.
