Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Athens International Airport SA (AT:AIAr), which rose 4.12% or 0.31 points to trade at 7.84 at the close. Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) added 3.81% or 0.04 points to end at 1.09 and Alumil (AT:ALMr) was up 3.40% or 0.11 points to 3.19 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr), which lost 1.74% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.70 in late trade. Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) declined 1.57% or 0.52 points to end at 32.62 and Optima bank SA (AT:OPTIMAr) shed 1.41% or 0.18 points to 12.62.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.73% or 20.10 to $2,776.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.55% or 0.37 to hit $67.01 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.61% or 0.43 to trade at $70.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 104.29.
