Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intralot (AT:INLr), which rose 3.89% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.02 at the close. Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) added 3.63% or 0.06 points to end at 1.72 and Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr) was up 3.15% or 0.09 points to 2.79 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr), which lost 1.27% or 0.14 points to trade at 10.86 in late trade. Holding Company ADMIE IPTO SA (AT:ADMr) declined 1.27% or 0.03 points to end at 2.33 and Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) shed 1.15% or 0.03 points to 2.59.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 66 to 42 and 26 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.16% or 4.50 to $2,750.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.27% or 0.91 to hit $72.38 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.16% or 0.87 to trade at $75.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 103.54.
