Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr), which rose 3.98% or 1.10 points to trade at 28.75 at the close. National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) added 2.73% or 0.20 points to end at 7.38 and Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) was up 2.64% or 0.23 points to 8.93 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which lost 2.64% or 0.30 points to trade at 11.06 in late trade. Ideal Group SA (AT:IDEr) declined 1.97% or 0.12 points to end at 5.96 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) shed 1.80% or 0.25 points to 13.65.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 70 to 57 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.21% or 5.75 to $2,755.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.43% or 0.99 to hit $70.25 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.33% or 0.97 to trade at $73.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP fell 0.75% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 104.06.
