Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Travel sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Halcor (AT:XAKO), which rose 5.26% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.200 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 4.67% or 0.007 points to end at 0.157 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) was up 3.12% or 0.040 points to 1.320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 8.98% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.153 in late trade. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 4.20% or 0.0060 points to end at 0.1370 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) shed 2.21% or 0.015 points to 0.664.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 58 to 44 and 12 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.50 to $1279.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.36% or 1.34 to hit $55.42 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.45% or 1.55 to trade at $61.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.77% to 1.1757, while EUR/GBP rose 0.71% to 0.8959.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 93.98.
