Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Premia AE (AT:PREMr), which rose 6.16% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.24 at the close. Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) added 5.33% or 0.08 points to end at 1.50 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was up 3.49% or 0.06 points to 1.78 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which lost 2.32% or 0.06 points to trade at 2.53 in late trade. Elinoil Hellenic Petroleum Company SA (AT:ELIr) declined 1.49% or 0.03 points to end at 1.99 and National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) shed 1.49% or 0.11 points to 7.52.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 56 to 53 and 27 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.41% or 11.05 to $2,694.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.79% or 2.02 to hit $70.34 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.45% or 1.85 to trade at $73.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.49% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 104.60.
