Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Banking and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 3.52% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.677 at the close. Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) added 2.94% or 0.003 points to end at 0.105 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was up 2.53% or 0.120 points to 4.860 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which lost 2.70% or 0.57 points to trade at 20.55 in late trade. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) declined 2.66% or 0.022 points to end at 0.806 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) shed 2.42% or 0.007 points to 0.282.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 58 to 49 and 9 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.40% or 5.00 to $1259.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.24% or 0.12 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.21% or 0.11 to trade at $52.26 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.1745, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.9057.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 93.61.
