Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which rose 4.16% or 0.11 points to trade at 2.63 at the close. Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) added 3.03% or 0.05 points to end at 1.70 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) was up 2.84% or 0.05 points to 1.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT:OTEr), which lost 3.68% or 0.58 points to trade at 15.17 in late trade. Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) declined 3.43% or 0.03 points to end at 0.73 and Intralot (AT:INLr) shed 3.09% or 0.03 points to 1.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 70 to 49 and 21 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.89% or 53.00 to $2,747.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.54% or 1.06 to hit $69.67 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.40% or 1.01 to trade at $73.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.78% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 104.03.
