Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Alumil (AT:ALMr), which rose 5.05% or 0.19 points to trade at 3.85 at the close. Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) added 2.51% or 0.48 points to end at 19.63 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) was up 2.18% or 0.06 points to 2.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which lost 1.82% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.30 in late trade. Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) declined 1.81% or 0.13 points to end at 7.07 and Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) shed 1.49% or 0.02 points to 1.06.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 67 to 51 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.05% or 1.41 to $2,663.39 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $68.86 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.35% or 0.25 to trade at $72.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 106.15.
