At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index rose 0.53%. The FTSE 250 Index and the FTSE 350 Index also increased. The FTSE 250 climbed 0.38%, while the FTSE 350 increased by 0.54%.

- Diageo (LON:DGE): Rose 2.50% or 61.5 points to 2,525.0
- Rio Tinto (LON:RIO) PLC: Climbed 2.24% or 115.7 points to 5,285.7
Top Losers:
- JD Sports Fashion PLC (LON:JD): Fell 3.27% or 3.85 points to 113.75
- 3I Group (LON:III): Dropped 1.11% or 33.78 points to 3,011.22
- Compass (LON:CPG): Declined 1.12% or 24.00 points to 2,119.00
In Commodities Trading:
- Gold Futures for August delivery climbed 17.10 points to 2,350.50 a troy ounce.
- Crude Oil for August delivery added 0.36 points to 83.17 a barrel.
- September Brent Oil Contract increased 0.51% or 0.44 points to 86.68 a barrel.
Currency Markets:
- GBP/USD remained unchanged at 1.26.
- EUR/GBP is also stable at 0.84.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 105.380
