At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index climbed 0.56%. The FTSE 250 Index and the FTSE 350 Index also rose. The FTSE 250 increased 0.65%, while the FTSE 350 was up by 0.63%.

- Rio Tinto (LON:RIO): Fell 1.61% or 79.5 points to 4,849.5
- Anglo American (JO:AGLJ): Declined 1.25% or 27.8 points to 2,203.7
- Antofagasta (LON:ANTO): Dropped 0.35% or 6.50 points to 1,832.00
