Investing.com - U.K. equities started mixed on Wednesday, with losses in the Electricity, Travel & Leisure, Life Insurance, and rises in the Construction & Building Materials, and Food Producers sectors.
At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index fell 0.09%. The FTSE 250 Index and the FTSE 350 Index were also low. The FTSE 250 decreased 0.12%, while the FTSE 350 dropped by 0.22%.

- Fresnillo (LON:FRES): Increased 2.83% or 17.36 points to 631.36
- United Utilities (LON:UU): Rose 1.39% or 13.60 points to 995.40
- Severn Trent (LON:SVT): Climbed 0.50% or 12.0 points to 2,397.0
Top Losers:
- RS PLC (LON:RS1R): Fell 2.32% or 17.50 points to 736.00
- IAG (LON:ICAG): Declined 1.95% or 3.39 points to 170.31
- Ocado (LON:OCDO): Dropped 1.92% or 7.89 points to 402.51
In Commodities Trading:
- Gold Futures for June delivery declined 1.95 points to 2,354.55 a troy ounce.
- Crude Oil for July delivery rose 0.39 points to 80.22 a barrel.
- August Brent Oil Contract increased 0.36% or 0.24 to 84.24 a barrel.
Currency Markets:
- GBP/USD remained unchanged at 1.27.
- EUR/GBP is also stable at 0.85.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 104.56.
