Investing.com – U.K. equities started mixed on Thursday. The top gainers were Tobacco, Electricity and Gas Water & Multiutilities sectors. Industrial Engineering, Construction & Building Materials and Personal Goods were the top losers.
At the market open in London, the FTSE 100 Index rose 0.27%. The FTSE 250 Index and the FTSE 350 Index also climbed. The FTSE 250 climbed 0.04%, while the FTSE 350 was up by 0.24%.
- GSK (LON:GSK) plc: Rose 6.21% or 90.50 points to 1,548.50.
- Informa PLC (LON:INF): Increased 2.30% or 18.80 points to 834.80.
- Segro Plc (LON:SGRO): Climbed 1.41% or 11.80 points to 848.60.
- Taylor Wimpey (LON:TW): Fell 3.37% or 5.38 points to 154.47.
- Vistry Group (LON:VTYV): Dropped 1.97% or 18.60 points to 925.90.
- WPP (LON:WPP): Declined 2.16% or 16.76 points to 760.84.
In Commodities Trading:
- Gold Futures for December delivery rose 2.35 points to 2,628.35 a troy ounce.
- Crude Oil for November delivery fell 0.36 points to 73.60 a barrel.
- December Brent Oil Contract climbed 0.47% or 0.36 points to 76.94 a barrel.
Currency Markets:
- GBP/USD istabilised at 1.3077.
- EUR/GBP is at 0.8362.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 102.685.
