Investing.com – France equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.61%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 1.71% or 1.66 points to trade at 98.50 at the close. Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) added 1.67% or 0.53 points to end at 32.34 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) was up 1.56% or 0.41 points to 26.72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM), which lost 2.41% or 0.31 points to trade at 12.40 in late trade. Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) declined 1.75% or 4.30 points to end at 240.85 and Legrand SA (EPA:LEGD) shed 1.65% or 1.75 points to 104.05.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Beneteau SA (EPA:CHBE) which rose 8.18% to 10.58, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which was up 7.08% to settle at 1.26 and Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which gained 4.99% to close at 6.02.
The worst performers were X Fab Silicon Foundries EV (EPA:XFAB) which was down 4.78% to 4.38 in late trade, Vusiongroup SA (EPA:VU) which lost 3.78% to settle at 145.00 and Valeo SA (EPA:VLOF) which was down 3.11% to 9.11 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 266 to 224 and 104 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.02% or 28.00 to $2,783.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.31% or 0.21 to hit $67.17 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.44% or 0.31 to trade at $70.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 104.21.
