Investing.com – France equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.03%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN), which rose 1.54% or 0.47 points to trade at 30.91 at the close. Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) added 1.29% or 0.62 points to end at 48.58 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) was up 0.89% or 0.21 points to 23.88 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which lost 2.60% or 2.14 points to trade at 80.30 in late trade. Renault SA (EPA:RENA) declined 1.20% or 0.56 points to end at 46.26 and Air Liquide SA (EPA:AIRP) shed 0.73% or 1.14 points to 154.24.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which unchanged 14.29% to 0.00, Vusiongroup SA (EPA:VU) which was up 13.62% to settle at 177.70 and Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which gained 4.15% to close at 7.02.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which was down 7.21% to 2.29 in late trade, Ayvens SA (EPA:AYV) which lost 2.83% to settle at 6.18 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which was down 2.60% to 80.30 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 263 to 246 and 88 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.49% or 12.86 to $2,632.24 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.98% or 0.68 to hit $68.78 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.01% or 0.73 to trade at $71.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 107.80.
