Investing.com – France equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.70% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CAC 40 were Accor SA (EPA:ACCP), which rose 2.91% or 1.05 points to trade at 37.10 at the close. Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:VIE) added 1.76% or 0.51 points to end at 29.51 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) was up 1.73% or 1.64 points to 96.66 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST), which lost 0.44% or 0.15 points to trade at 34.25 in late trade. Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) declined 0.27% or 0.50 points to end at 182.55 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) shed 0.18% or 4.00 points to 2,195.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Opmobility SE (EPA:OPM) which rose 4.87% to 8.95, Emeis SA (EPA:EMEIS) which was up 3.45% to settle at 9.00 and Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which gained 3.18% to close at 3.31.
The worst performers were Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which was down 7.05% to 4.22 in late trade, Ayvens SA (EPA:AYV) which lost 1.27% to settle at 6.24 and SCOR SE (EPA:SCOR) which was down 0.79% to 18.94 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 290 to 174 and 107 ended unchanged on the Paris Stock Exchange.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.03% or 25.80 to $2,542.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.45% or 1.79 to hit $74.80 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 2.27% or 1.75 to trade at $78.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.56% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.64% at 100.75.
