Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.80% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which rose 1.72% or 0.068 points to trade at 4.028 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 0.18% or 0.020 points to end at 11.290 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was down 0.26% or 0.09 points to 34.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 3.11% or 0.360 points to trade at 11.220 in late trade. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 3.08% or 1.19 points to end at 37.40 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 2.87% or 0.160 points to 5.410.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 46 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.06% or 0.03 to $47.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.13% or 0.06 to hit $44.80 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.57 to trade at $1245.53 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1426, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 95.44.
