Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 0.74% or 0.28 points to trade at 38.16 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.53% or 0.17 points to end at 32.38 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.42% or 0.10 points to 23.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 5.70% or 0.2000 points to trade at 3.3100 in late trade. Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) declined 4.87% or 0.54 points to end at 10.55 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 4.79% or 1.63 points to 32.42.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 120 to 59 and 5 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.92% or 0.92 to $46.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.48% or 1.09 to hit $42.89 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1165.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1043, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.7216.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 97.00.
