Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.35% or 0.0400 points to trade at 3.0120 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 0.93% or 0.034 points to end at 3.700 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 0.22% or 0.020 points to 9.085 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which lost 4.24% or 1.31 points to trade at 29.58 in late trade. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 2.71% or 0.94 points to end at 33.81 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) shed 2.66% or 1.21 points to 44.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 112 to 69 and 6 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.70% or 0.34 to $47.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.20% or 0.53 to hit $43.76 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.14% or 1.50 to trade at $1089.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.0765, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.7117.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 99.02.
