Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 0.90% or 0.060 points to trade at 6.750 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 0.88% or 0.27 points to end at 30.78 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.62% or 0.16 points to 26.01 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 2.30% or 0.33 points to trade at 14.02 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 1.48% or 0.12 points to end at 7.64 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) shed 1.30% or 0.45 points to 34.14.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 71 to 66 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.39% or 0.22 to $56.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.68% or 0.37 to hit $53.69 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.43% or 16.35 to trade at $1157.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.66% to 1.0484, while EUR/GBP rose 0.60% to 0.8573.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.50% at 102.72.
