Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HEL:UPM1V), which rose 1.76% or 0.29 points to trade at 16.80 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V) added 1.14% or 0.18 points to end at 16.00 and Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) was up 1.06% or 0.0440 points to 4.2120 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V), which lost 3.11% or 0.195 points to trade at 6.085 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) declined 2.23% or 0.12 points to end at 5.47 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V) shed 1.32% or 0.56 points to 41.82.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 79 and 4 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.23% or 0.66 to $52.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.77% or 0.86 to hit $47.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.61% or 6.60 to trade at $1095.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.96% to 1.1038, while EUR/GBP rose 0.74% to 0.7060.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.68% at 96.95.
