Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which rose 4.56% or 0.30 points to trade at 6.88 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HEL:UPM1V) added 1.98% or 0.32 points to end at 16.47 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) was up 1.16% or 0.110 points to 9.610 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which lost 2.22% or 0.1130 points to trade at 4.9820 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) declined 2.16% or 0.57 points to end at 25.82 and Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V) shed 1.89% or 0.32 points to 16.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 73 and 4 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.72% or 0.46 to $63.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.91% or 0.55 to hit $59.72 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1172.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1198, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.7120.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.43.
