Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 1.29% or 0.39 points to trade at 30.54 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 0.66% or 0.23 points to end at 35.11 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 0.10% or 0.004 points to 4.103 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 6.79% or 0.435 points to trade at 5.975 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 5.51% or 1.98 points to end at 33.96 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 5.01% or 0.176 points to 3.335.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 117 to 36 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.53% or 0.33 to $62.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $53.01 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.15 to trade at $1243.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1330, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8936.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 96.988.
