Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.52% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 0.13% or 0.05 points to trade at 37.27 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) fell 0.07% or 0.03 points to end at 45.16 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 0.36% or 0.014 points to 3.886 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 4.24% or 0.3450 points to trade at 7.7950 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 3.38% or 0.21 points to end at 6.16 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 3.29% or 0.235 points to 6.900.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 123 to 27 and 7 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.68% or 0.43 to $63.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.74% or 0.42 to hit $57.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.88 to trade at $1287.58 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1648, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8863.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 94.38.
