Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.26% or 0.1000 points to trade at 8.0440 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 0.08% or 0.03 points to end at 39.84 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 0.28% or 0.05 points to 18.07 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V), which lost 3.95% or 0.405 points to trade at 9.845 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 3.12% or 0.235 points to end at 7.295 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 1.93% or 0.92 points to 46.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 105 to 34 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.45% or 0.32 to $70.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.41% or 0.27 to hit $65.88 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.30 to trade at $1360.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.60% to 1.2484, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.8756.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 88.58.
