Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 0.35% or 0.0200 points to trade at 5.6620 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 0.33% or 0.016 points to end at 4.857 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 0.05% or 0.004 points to 7.674 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 6.44% or 0.610 points to trade at 8.865 in late trade. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 3.13% or 1.07 points to end at 33.08 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) shed 3.10% or 0.17 points to 5.16.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 41 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.15% or 0.11 to $73.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $67.94 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 8.70 to trade at $1314.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1982, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 92.31.
