Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which rose 0.73% or 0.028 points to trade at 3.880 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 0.28% or 0.10 points to end at 35.42 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.27% or 0.030 points to 11.070 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 5.23% or 0.610 points to trade at 11.050 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 4.65% or 0.270 points to end at 5.540 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) shed 4.05% or 0.93 points to 22.02.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 85 to 49 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.31% or 0.68 to $51.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.43% or 1.64 to hit $46.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.10% or 14.23 to trade at $1312.13 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.1976, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.9264.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.18.
