Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 1.35% or 0.049 points to trade at 3.666 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.87% or 0.060 points to end at 6.945 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 0.49% or 0.060 points to 12.375 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which lost 3.01% or 1.25 points to trade at 40.25 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 2.08% or 0.40 points to end at 18.56 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 1.91% or 0.29 points to 14.87.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 50 and 11 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.19% or 0.79 to $66.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.92% or 0.52 to hit $56.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.23% or 14.70 to trade at $1213.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1322, while EUR/GBP rose 1.94% to 0.8873.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 96.97.
