Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 2.67% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.16 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 2.25% or 1.25 points to end at 56.85 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 1.43% or 0.90 points to 63.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which lost 13.52% or 2.79 points to trade at 17.82 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 3.53% or 0.19 points to end at 5.05 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) shed 2.72% or 0.56 points to 20.02.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 56 and 25 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.35% or 0.25 to $70.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.19% or 0.13 to hit $67.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.95% or 26.05 to trade at $2,781.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 104.31.
