Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.92% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 1.07% or 0.15 points to trade at 14.14 at the close. Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) added 0.98% or 0.11 points to end at 11.36 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) was up 0.42% or 0.35 points to 84.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which lost 3.39% or 0.33 points to trade at 9.27 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 3.11% or 0.34 points to end at 10.60 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 2.53% or 0.97 points to 37.37.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 109 to 59 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.55% or 0.45 to $82.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.44% or 0.34 to hit $78.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.60 to trade at $2,327.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 104.97.
