Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA), which rose 1.14% or 0.05 points to trade at 4.45 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 0.30% or 0.04 points to end at 13.54 and TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) was up 0.06% or 0.01 points to 17.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 12.44% or 0.42 points to trade at 2.93 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 2.95% or 0.13 points to end at 4.14 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 2.08% or 1.02 points to 48.09.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 107 to 68 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.29% or 0.95 to $74.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.53% or 1.07 to hit $71.09 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.05% or 28.51 to trade at $2,680.89 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 106.69.
