Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which rose 1.14% or 0.52 points to trade at 46.00 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.06% or 0.51 points to end at 48.68 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 0.90% or 0.44 points to 49.59 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which lost 4.47% or 4.30 points to trade at 92.00 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.79% or 0.13 points to end at 3.25 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 3.09% or 1.14 points to 35.76.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 101 to 66 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 4.48% or 3.47 to $74.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.96% or 2.91 to hit $70.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 7.15 to trade at $2,520.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 101.74.
