Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.83% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 1.01% or 0.095 points to trade at 9.460 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 0.53% or 0.22 points to end at 41.43 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 0.13% or 0.05 points to 39.28 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 4.04% or 0.290 points to trade at 6.892 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 3.16% or 0.91 points to end at 27.87 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 2.87% or 0.1520 points to 5.1500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 47 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.59% or 1.20 to $74.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.61% or 0.42 to hit $68.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.80 to trade at $1267.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.1692, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8811.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 94.03.
