Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT), which rose 13.41% or 3.14 points to trade at 26.55 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.15% or 0.27 points to end at 12.84 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 0.42% or 0.06 points to 14.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI), which lost 2.76% or 0.32 points to trade at 11.45 in late trade. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) declined 2.74% or 0.26 points to end at 9.23 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 2.61% or 0.09 points to 3.47.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 124 to 49 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.25% or 0.21 to $82.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.34% or 0.27 to hit $78.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.72% or 40.50 to trade at $2,314.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 104.71.
