Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 3.26% or 0.88 points to trade at 27.87 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 2.65% or 0.215 points to end at 8.320 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.40% or 0.24 points to 17.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which lost 3.65% or 0.24 points to trade at 6.47 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.64% or 0.2380 points to end at 6.2920 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) shed 2.09% or 0.185 points to 8.655.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 45 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.27% or 0.18 to $66.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.51% or 0.32 to hit $62.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.20 to trade at $1317.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.2340, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8789.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 89.43.
