Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.74% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 1.55% or 0.65 points to trade at 42.68 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 1.26% or 0.11 points to end at 9.01 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 0.58% or 0.02 points to 4.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 3.29% or 1.76 points to trade at 51.78 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 2.63% or 0.47 points to end at 17.19 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 2.37% or 1.55 points to 63.75.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 120 to 45 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 1.45% or 1.07 to $72.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.11% or 1.49 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.61% or 16.24 to trade at $2,653.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 106.56.
