Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.73% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 2.08% or 0.38 points to trade at 18.66 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 0.71% or 0.30 points to end at 42.66 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 0.40% or 0.05 points to 12.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which lost 2.85% or 0.28 points to trade at 9.69 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 2.55% or 0.09 points to end at 3.29 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) shed 2.44% or 0.20 points to 7.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 103 to 53 and 29 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.37% or 1.17 to $83.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.69% or 1.37 to hit $79.93 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.99% or 48.85 to trade at $2,407.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.03.
