Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 0.53% or 0.12 points to trade at 22.63 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 0.35% or 0.12 points to end at 34.04 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.32% or 0.15 points to 47.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 1.77% or 0.1460 points to trade at 8.1180 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 1.70% or 0.12 points to end at 6.64 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 1.42% or 0.200 points to 13.840.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 39 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.04% or 0.72 to $68.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.59% or 1.04 to hit $64.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.50 to trade at $1338.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.2405, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8771.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 89.02.
