Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.53% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 7.23% or 2.48 points to trade at 36.78 at the close. TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) added 6.53% or 1.16 points to end at 18.92 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 1.75% or 0.76 points to 44.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 6.22% or 0.37 points to trade at 5.50 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 5.76% or 0.54 points to end at 8.87 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 5.41% or 0.83 points to 14.42.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 86 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.97% or 0.73 to $74.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.05% or 0.74 to hit $70.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.55% or 15.00 to trade at $2,744.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 104.04.
