Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 1.30% or 0.41 points to trade at 31.95 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 1.18% or 0.110 points to end at 9.420 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was up 0.44% or 0.03 points to 5.67 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.82% or 0.1460 points to trade at 5.0360 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 2.37% or 1.10 points to end at 45.25 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) shed 1.77% or 0.70 points to 38.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 69 to 65 and 25 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.15% or 0.12 to $81.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.54% or 0.39 to hit $71.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 6.70 to trade at $1198.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.1746, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8916.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 93.85.
