Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which rose 6.53% or 0.16 points to trade at 2.64 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.19% or 0.38 points to end at 17.73 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) was up 1.93% or 0.15 points to 8.04 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 5.11% or 0.18 points to trade at 3.39 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 1.82% or 0.74 points to end at 40.02 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 1.22% or 0.23 points to 18.27.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 73 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.07% or 0.06 to $85.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $81.49 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 4.00 to trade at $2,463.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 103.73.
