Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.16% or 1.60 points to trade at 52.20 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.19% or 0.31 points to end at 26.29 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 0.86% or 0.15 points to 17.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 3.99% or 1.29 points to trade at 31.03 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.08% or 0.135 points to end at 6.340 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 1.53% or 0.200 points to 12.860.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 86 to 57 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.34% or 0.21 to $62.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.37% or 0.21 to hit $57.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.46 to trade at $1272.64 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1888, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8816.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 93.06.
